Lovey’s New Melon Cake Returns This June With a Fresh New Look

Last year, our melon cake quietly became one of the most talked about seasonal cakes at Lovey. From the soft jasmine cream pairing to the fresh melon finish, it quickly became a customer favourite during winter and early fruit season.

This year, it’s coming back with a refreshed look, upgraded structure, and even more attention to detail. 🍈

After receiving feedback from many of you last season, we spent time refining both the design and overall experience of the cake. Some customers mentioned that fresh melons naturally released juice over time, especially during transport or after refrigeration. Others noticed slight colour contrast between the cream and fresh fruit layers as the cake settled.

Instead of ignoring those details, we rebuilt the cake from the inside out.

Our 2026 melon collection will feature an updated cream finish, cleaner layering, improved fruit balance, and a more polished presentation overall while still keeping the light, less sweet style Lovey is known for.

The new melon cake series officially launches from June 12 and will be available in:

• 4 inch cake
• 6 inch cake
• 8 inch cake
• 4 inch amuseable version
• 6 inch amuseable version

Expect soft chiffon sponge, fresh seasonal melon, delicate cream textures, and a dreamy new design made for both gifting and celebrations.

This season’s version is lighter, cleaner, and far more refined than last year’s release. We genuinely think it’s one of the prettiest cakes we’ve made so far.
